Former soldier

What happened to your dad was wrong – wrong then, wrong now. I wish I had the privilege to meet him, from what I know he was an exceptional young man. Even though we were on opposing sides, I can envisage a man of character, integrity to his cause and outstanding courage.

      Hello Feargal, last year I took my daughter to see the memorial to your father in Joy Street. It was a wet and windy day which probably added to the sense of helplessness I felt – wish it had been different, wish we had done better – regards, James
